“Khao Tao weaving group is a local Royal Project initiated by King Rama 9 and Queen Sirikit of Thailand in 1964, to give fishing families in Khao Tao a supplementary income during the monsoon season. This began a tradition of locally skilled weavers, producing beautiful hand-woven cotton and linen fabrics, which have become some of the signature products of Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.”
